Senior Choir

Singing is tremendous exercise as well as being wonderful food for the soul, and the girls of the Senior Choir take part enthusiastically in a vigorous workout every Monday afternoon between 4 and 5pm. They are a dedicated bunch, and we start our sessions with a hearty warm up routine. This consists of a weird and wonderful medley of exercises designed to work the lips, the tongue and the face. It also helps to build muscles for breath support. We then move on to learn and sing a wide variety of canons, rounds, unison songs and songs in two or more parts. The Choir certainly covers a wide selection of repertoire over the year and performs regularly in concerts and other whole-school events.

Junior Choir
Our choir gives enthusiastic girls from Year 2 and 3 the opportunity to sing together.

We sing a huge variety of songs, including some in parts, songs that tell stories, songs that make us laugh, and sometimes we make up actions to go with the words.

We perform in assemblies, concerts and at Open Days, and take part in an inter-school yearly choir competition.

Good posture is encouraged and warm ups help to keep voices healthy.
