Language Immersion in Pre-Prep School

Language education at our school serves to develop learners' communication skills, along with their appreciation of other world cultures. In Reception, language is taught through a structured curriculum that includes key elements like Reading, Writing and Phonics. Lower School takes this further with girls benefitting from French and English lessons. Outside the curriculum, girls are invited to join clubs with a language focus from Year 1 onwards, such as French and Mandarin, to advance their knowledge and comprehension. By immersing themselves at this Pre-Prep level, girls are then able to continue their language studies in Middle and Upper School.

From Year 1 onwards, learners are invited to develop their personal interests and proficiencies by participating in various sport and club activities, which take place in the afternoon. Opportunities like these are essential for fostering girls’ physical and mental well-being, and promote life skills like teamwork and discipline. Girls with a flair for performance or creativity can enrol in exciting club options, including Art, Jewellery Making and Junior Choir, building confidence, gaining new insights and artistic abilities, and advancing their prospects in their field of choice.
