The children’s learning is not restricted to the classroom. Pembridge Hall is fabulously placed to take advantage of the gamut of museums, art galleries and places of historical importance in London and the Home Counties.
We also have a range of themed days within school to bring subjects alive. The annual Scottish piper and the Mariachi band (not at the same time, I must add) on the steps of number 18 to herald a themed day are highlights savoured by children, parents and teachers alike.
Pembridge Hall believes passionately in the importance of children being educated to feel confident in the outdoor environment, come rain or shine. We are lucky to have use of the large Pembridge Square gardens for break times. Reception girls take part in a Forest School programme and we are currently trialling Woodland Adventure days on Hampstead Heath for Years 3 and 4.
From Years 3 through to 6, girls take part in a Summer Term residential trip, staying away for between two and four nights. Part of the fun of these adventures is ‘dorming up’ with their friends. They take part in a range of team-building and outdoor activities, which encourage the girls to go beyond their comfort zone, taking on new and exciting challenges.
