The aim of the Pembridge Hall Parents’ Association (PHPA) is primarily to enhance the girls’ overall experience at school and bring an extra dimension to school life that benefits the whole school community. Part of this involves raising awareness of the chosen PHPA charities and involving the girls in fundraising opportunities. It also provides a platform for parents to have more involvement in their daughter’s school life and build ties within the school community.
This is accomplished by organising a calendar of events throughout the year. Parents are given a remit and organise social activities accordingly. The Christmas Parties, Spring Disco, Summer Fête, Leavers Party, Head’s Quiz Night are but some of the annual events that the PHPA organises.
Based on parent recommendations each year, the PHPA chooses a selection of local charities to support. Fundraising helps subsidise the above events and profits are donated to the chosen charities. Please refer to the charities section of this website.
Additionally, the PHPA helps facilitate communication between the parents and the school with regards to social matters. The PHPA Committee meets twice termly, and the minutes of these meetings are posted on Firefly in the hope of creating greater clarity.
