Religious & Spiritual Ethos

Pembridge Hall school is founded on Christian principles and welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. It places great emphasis on the values of tolerance, respect, perseverance and self-discipline and recognises that all pupils develop spiritually irrespective of whether or not they have a religious belief. The school follows the Christian calendar and marks the great festivals of Christmas and Easter. The weekly whole school assembly is held on Fridays at St Matthew’s church with which it enjoys strong links reaching out into the local community. The assemblies, however, are generally non-religious in character. These are followed by a hymn and a prayer which is treated as a time for reflection and is entirely optional.
